Trowbridge, Wiltshire — 11/06/2025 — Trowbridge Users Group is proud to announce it has been shortlisted for the Community Group Award at the BBC Radio Wiltshire Make a Difference Awards 2025.

This recognition shines a spotlight on the group’s unwavering commitment to providing vital mental health support to individuals in Trowbridge and across Wiltshire.

Now in its fifth year, the Make a Difference Awards celebrate local heroes across categories such as volunteering, fundraising, and community service. With hundreds of nominations received, making it to the final four is a significant achievement.

“Being shortlisted is a true honour,” said Mark Marshall, Founder and Peer Lead at Trowbridge Users Group. “This recognition validates the hard work of our team and the value of peer support in transforming mental health outcomes.”

Trowbridge Users Group operates a unique peer-led model that empowers people with lived experience of mental health challenges to support one another in a safe, understanding environment. The organisation runs drop-in sessions, advocacy services, and outreach programmes designed to make mental health support in Trowbridge more accessible and inclusive.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony on Sunday, 14th September 2025 at Bowood Hotel and Spa near Chippenham.

“We are incredibly proud to represent the Trowbridge community at such a high level. Regardless of the outcome, being recognised alongside such inspiring organisations is already a win for us,” added Mark Marshall.
