At Trowbridge Service User’s Group, our top priority is maintaining regular contact with our members, ensuring they have the support they need throughout their mental health journey. We employ various means to achieve this goal, employing both online and offline channels.
To begin with, every new member is warmly invited to join our private Facebook page or our What’s App group chat. These platforms serve as safe spaces where individuals can connect, share experiences, and find solace in a supportive community. Our Facebook group is set to private, ensuring that only invited individuals can access and view its content. Once a member receives an invitation, they must accept it and await approval from the page administrator.
Within our Facebook group, we foster a positive and uplifting environment. Every day, you can expect to find greetings, motivational messages, jokes, and helpful guidance. It’s a space dedicated to sharing positivity, seeking motivation, and finding support whenever needed.
In addition to our Facebook group, we offer a What’s App group for members to engage in chats, arrange social interactions, and seek support from fellow members. Although this chat is not monitored by group peers, they can be called upon for interaction if necessary.
At Trowbridge Service User’s Group, we understand the importance of personal connection and accessibility. Our dedicated group lead is available to members nearly 24/7, and they can be contacted through various channels such as Facebook, Instagram, What’s App, or direct communication via telephone or What’s App. Members can request a personal one-on-one session, which can be arranged within 24 hours or less. Additionally, our group lead is more than happy to visit members either in public spaces or at their homes, catering to their specific needs.
It is crucial to note that while our group provides invaluable support, we are not a substitute for crisis mental health services. We acknowledge the limitations of mental health resources and services and are committed to supporting you until you can receive the help you need. As part of this commitment, we continually remind members of coping skills acquired over the years, drawing from techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), mindfulness practices, Reiki, Qi Gong, and meditation. These tools can help you stay resilient until the phase passes or until local mental health provisions become available.
Trowbridge Service User’s Group is a peer-led mental health support community that offers free assistance to individuals residing in and around Trowbridge, Wiltshire. We are dedicated to promoting mental well-being and providing a compassionate space where individuals can find the support and understanding they deserve.
Remember, you don’t have to face your mental health challenges alone. Join our community today and embark on a journey towards healing and growth.
