We have been through it in the last few years but through it all Trowbridge Service Users Group has been there. We had a few wobbles with illness, covid etc. but we have managed to keep running.
Our Thursday art group is still running at the Town Hall and its free, so if you have low support needs and want to improve your confidence and social circle pop along.
Our Drop in / coffee morning is back on from the first Tuesday in September and will be shaped by those that use it again it’s another free service for those without mental health support.
As we go into the future, I been asked to do several interviews for BBC Radio Wiltshire, which will include members of Trowbridge Service Users.
We had some professional photos taken and the Town Hall has produced a new poster for Us which will be reveal in this press release.
Resource Box
Trowbridge Service User Group is a Peer run and lead service for those who due to the cuts in mental health service must rely on GP service and Crisis Services. We provide a safe space to talk and relax share experiences and share skills while having a laugh.
By supporting each other we can build a network of support and friendship of likeminded individuals.
Our service is free as we understand that even £1 can be a barrier to going out and doing things. By building confidence and friends help mental health improves naturally allowing a person to begin to grow once more.
