We as a group have face the same interruptions as everyone else and we made adaptations and once we could meet, we arranged some art session for current members.
But sadly, our lead and covid trained person sadly developed heart failure during August which caused our group to temporarily close, and although this caused group to return to online contact. It was agreed that until our lead could return to full activities that small coffee session would be sufficient.
These coffee sessions where supported by Tesco and where due to start this week and are going to happen this week. But since we are now in Lock down once more and this may continue past the 4 week which take us to December.
Since we close for 4 weeks coving the Christmas and new year period, we are going to call 2020 over and done with and start fresh in 2021.
We will continue to support current group members via our online private group and by any means available to us.
But now is the time to look forward to the future and the support that will be needed in Trowbridge as we come out of this pandemic and face the wave of people with mental health needs that with over run the NHS services and other charities.
We are looking for a bigger space for our main group so we can have more members socially distancing on our return as we know their will still be restrictions, we have secured some funding and we are hoping to gain more to provide extra service and support.
If you would like to help support Trowbridge service users group The CO-OP have selected to support us and you can donate via https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/53104 or via or donate button on the right of the page.
