Today Grace from Creative Minds brought in loads of watercolour resources for us to make sealife pictures with. There were large photos of different creatures, a variety of different watercolour media and a selection of papers to paint on.
Everyone soon became completely absorbed in their work and a purposeful sense of peace settled in the room.
This abstract piece was the first to be completed.
Brusho was used to great effect here.
The watercolour pans were a popular and more familiar medium choice…
…they were used to paint these jellyfish…
…as well as this wonderful detailed fish.
This beautiful octopus was created using aquamarkers.
Seahorses lent themselves well to the translucent, delicate colours…
…which worked amazingly with the watery theme.
Brusho brought life and energy to this shark.
Lots of great texture in this tree!
We can’t wait to see how this turtle turns out.
These tranquil fish really reflect the tone of the session. We had such a peaceful, relaxing afternoon.
